Check your Google Earth installation!
We received some complaints that Google Earth is not accessible from Panorado (or Panorado Flyer), and found that this resulted from the way it was installed:
Please, log in as an administrator when you install Google Earth!
Otherwise, Google Earth can't register as a COM server, and it won't cooperate with Panorado.

ArtServe image archive uses Panorado applet.
The reorganisation of the huge art history image archive at the Australian National University in Canberra took several weeks, without many interruptions. The result was not only disk space freed, but also a better presentation of the many high-resolution photos from all over the world. The Panorado applet allows the visitor to zoom into every image and to pan the view.

Panorado website redesigned.
It's hard to describe a highly dynamic product like Panorado with words and static images. It's easier with the help of a little animated demo.
The page structure and the graphic layout has been redesigned as well - for better orientation.

We recommend to update your Panorado installation to the current 3.3.1.42 build version because of some minor program changes and bug fixes.
If you are using the "Get Location from Google Earth" feature we also recommend to update Google Earth to version 3.0.0762 (or newer) because some existing COM interfaces have been modified there.

Three changes today:

First, I renamed the two panoramic viewers - the Java applet and the Windows application - in order to avoid confusion with other product brands and companies. "Panoscope" changed to "Panorado".

Second, I released Version 2.0 of the Windows-based panorama viewer, which is now Panorado 2.0, after some thorough testing. The major new feature is 3-dimensional viewing of spherical images which looks very realistic on screen.

And third, as the viewer has reached a kind of professional-quality stage, I decided to offer it as shareware. This means: Like before, you can download a setup file from the Panorado page (new name) to install the program on a Windows computer. You'll have 14 days to evaluate it for free; if you decide to use it after that, you can acquire a license from the order page of an online software distribution company, for approximately 29 Euro (+ VAT if applicable). The ordering procedure is planned to be released very soon.

The panorama viewer applet - which is now called "Panorado applet" - remains freeware.
